[Bug] When checking for renaming files it ignores whitespaces at the start

#1

Hi when I rename mockups to organize them, I use whitespaces to indent them. However I have to also change something else in the mockups name otherwiese the “Rename” button will not become active. It is a minor annoyance, but a constant one.

Steps to reproduce:

  • I doubleclick a mockup
  • In the Input field I add 1 or more spaces to the beginning of the name __mockupName (underscore represent spaces)

  • Expected behavior: Rename button becomes active and I can rename the mockup.
  • Actual behavior: Rename button stays inactive.

Sidenote: If I doubleclick a mockup with leading spaces in front, the Rename button will be active from the start.

On windows, Balsamiq Version 3.0.3

Thanks for the detailed report Roland. I’ll get it written up. Cheers!

Same here, I’ve been using your indent strategy for two weeks, and I have the same comment! Adding whitespace at the beginning of mockups name should be accepted as a rename.
