I’m brand new to this and can’t cut and paste anything from inside or outside the platform - feel like a complete idiot - what am I missing?

The cut/copy/paste options are available in the Edit menu, as shown below.
Would you mind sharing more details about what you’re trying to cut and paste?
Ah - OK - I’m trying to copy some text from a Google Doc into the “Text” field.
