Currently when you use a component like rectangle or anything else that supports borders, you can either hide all the borders or none.
Would be great if we could also add an option in the Border Style to disable specific borders i.e top, right, bottom, left
Hi @Stallion_V,
It’s a good suggestion and I’ve logged it for you. I know it’s not ideal but you could work around it with individual line controls and, if there’s a specific border set you need (e.g top; left; and right but no bottom border) you could create a Symbol
Thank you!
Yes that’s the work around for now
+1 from me for hiding individual border sides!
As an addendum, the way Axure handles border display is extremely intuitive. Essentially, they display a square with slim rectangles along each side that are either hollow or filled. They don’t allow you to choose more than one border colour or thickness, those are set in a separate location.
I’m on my phone right now but will try to remember to add a screen shot once I’m at the office.
Hey @Jenni_Merrifield,
I think we understand the requirement here but, if and when when you have a moment that would be great. Thanks so much!
Sorry @alasdair, I totally forgot to come back and update this!
Okay, so here are two screenshots of the border UI in Axure - one when all four borders are “on” and one with both the left and right sides turned “off”:
To toggle the on/off status of any side you hover over and click on the rectangular area:
