Import original image

Hi Balsamiq team :grinning:

I need your help.
I tried to import the image file(png) but I couldn’t import the original size. I don’t know why.
I compared with Mockups 3 and Mockups 3 is no problem.
This is the screen capture for two versions.

.
I tried to change the view option but it’s the same. I tried to resized via the size option but it’s the same.
How can I resolve it?
Than you in advance.

James

Hi James,
Make sure you set zoom to actual size (View --> Zoom):

Also check if Property inspector displays the right dimensions for the image:

Hi Alexey,

Thank you for your email.

It looks weird
Make sure you have latest Balsamiq version, and try to import the image again.
Actually, I never imported images, just Copy and Paste these, or drag n drop.

Yes, it’s very weird.
I removed the app and reinstall it but it’s same.
I just drag and drop the image. What’s the best way? I used Mockup3 for many years and I want to upgrade. Mockup3 is ok for image size. There is no problem since I bought. It’s really good software.

I used BM3, now on BM4, and really love it.
I prefer copy-paste method for inserting images.

Can you share your image? Do all the images behave that way?

Yes. All the images are same.
I attached the one of the image.

Have no issues with the image, checked both in BM3 and 4.
What if you set the image size manually in BM4? I.e. 426×110

If I changed the size to 426x110, the image are very blur.

One thing I found. I drag and drop the image on BM3, then open the project in BM4. Image is ok. Do you have an idea why?

Kind regards,

Nice trick!
The file format is compatible, and images are saved in assets. So in BM3 you have right image, which is shown in BM4 from assets. In other words, BM4 has some issues on importing images. I’m on Windows PC, and have no the issue, but on Mac it’s probably exists

And what if you open the project from BM4 with wrong image in BM3? I guess, you’ll see wrong image, too ;

Ohh great :+1::+1::+1::+1:
How can I do?

Kind regards,

And don’t forget to claim the bug, so in the next release notes you’ll be mentioned, like “James from Australia reported this bug”.

I fixed the problem with your finding. I drag and drop the image, then delete it. I place the image from Assets, then it’s ok. I fixed it temporary.
