[solved] How to copy balsamiq?

#1

Hi!

I am using Balsamiq for Confluence.

I have a Mockup in a page and I want to make changes to it.

I would like to keep the original and edit a new mockup.

Can I just copy/paste the thumbnail when in “page edit” mode? Thus having two Balsamiq mockup thumbnails side-by-side (the first being the original and the second being the new, copied, one).

To be safe, I have exported a BMML of the original mockup … My plan is to import that into a new/fresh mockup and embed that into the same Confluence page. But, this seems a bit cumbersome.

Any tips?

Ahhh, looks like I can only have one embedded Balsamiq mockup per Confluence page. Is this correct?

If that’s the case, then the answer to my original question is to create a new Confluence page!

Interesting, when I copied the page and went to edit the copied page’s mockup thumbnail, I got this:

Hi @mhulse,

Sorry for the hassle here. You’re initial thought was right about creating a new Confluence page and then importing your mockup.

The best way to do that is to export/import as XML.

Let us know if that works for you. We’re here if you get stuck!

Ooooh, nice! I will try import as XML.

The zip file also worked.

I ended up creating a new page, embedding a mockup, opening that and doing an import.

Pretty flawless.

Thanks @phil
